The giant screamed with all his might, “Englishman!” and began chasing Jack. Jack ran as quickly as he could. Before the giant could catch Jack he was half way down the bean stalk with the hen in his arm screaming for his mother to bring him his ax. Once down, he swiftly began chopping away at the bean stalk as the giant was rapidly coming down screaming all the way. With a loud crack Jack chopped the bean stalk in half. Down came the bean stalk with the giant hanging on for dear life. There was a huge shake in the ground like an earthquake and the giant was no more. After that Jack and his mother cared for the hen while she repaid their kindness with ample amounts of golden eggs. Jack and his mother were never poor again and they all lived happily ever after.
